I decided to watch My Girl of TV Asahi because I was on “disprove the prejudice” mode after watching Matsumoto Jun in Bambino!
My bad though I haven’t finished My Girl as soon as possible, but that doesn’t mean this drama was no fun. It was just the type that you can wait to watch after a day or two. There was no need to hurry. Each episode was heart warming so I guess it also affected me. It was as poignant as how a family should be albeit missing someone.
I think Kazama Masamune (Aiba Masaki) was an interesting character though not much of a challenge for Aiba. I guess I have to watch Last Hope to have some comparison. By the way, I couldn’t stop thinking that Aiba looked like Gackt in this drama.
The simplicity and sincerity of Masamune-kun was nice though you would probably feel like giving him a push from time to time. When he finally decided to do that himself, being inspired by Koharu-chan (Ishii Momoka), it felt like watching a relative coming out of his shell. I find it nice and inspiring.
It was also nice how the other characters had their own lives and stories to tell. I think the story of the Murota couple (Chosi and Sumiko), performed by Yana Nobuo and Omori Akemi, respectively, was the most touching and sweet.
