Back with K-Drama

After months of watching C-Drama, I thought it'd be next year when I go back watching Korean dramas again. Before While You Were Sleeping, the last K-Drama I tried to watch was What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? I had to put it on hold as I find it getting too cheesy for my preference.

I mentioned WYWS in my previous entry and I must say I already finished watching it. I went on to watch Something in the Rain, but it's currently on hold, and Start Up, which is currently airing. The former had Nam Da-Reum while the latter is Suzy's newest drama.

While waiting for the latest episodes of Start Up, I take my time watching Dr. Romantic. I haven't watched a medical drama in a while, can't even remember the last time I did. Turned out these K-Drama has two seasons. I'm already on the 14th episode of the first season. I'm already quite excited for the second season.

So far I am enjoying Dr. Romantic. I like how much medical residency-related scenarios I see. The scenes featuring treatment of patients' condition in the ER were also ample. This drama is on its way into becoming one of my favourite medical dramas, probably after Code Blue. It's not exempted from overly theatrical scenarios and obvious mistakes you never do as a medical doctor, but it's quite understandable. So far I haven't seen someone intubated yet talking comfortably. Thank goodness. I'm so tired of seeing this mistake.

I'm hoping to finish Dr. Romantic season 1 today. But before that, I need to attend to a personal emergency.

Coincidence? Fate?

I thought it's worth mentioning in this blog. I didn't expect to see Kim So-Hyun and Nam Da-Reum in While You Were Sleeping, which I am only watching because of Bae Suzy, because I couldn't get enough of her new drama Start-Up, which happened to be currently airing so there's no chance to watch in advance.

The title of this blog entry was by the way a line by Han Woo-Tak (Jung Hae-In) in While You Were Sleeping.

I mentioned Kim So-Hyun because I think I can consider that I'm a fan and for a time I've been watching her projects one after another. Haven't done so though with her recent ones. As for Nam Da-Reum, it's because he played the young second lead male in Start-Up. I like him, so far, in that new drama. I thought with all these in consideration, finally watching While You Were Sleeping is becoming interesting.

Said "finally" because I had no intention of watching it. I mean, I sort of wanted to consider because of Bae Suzy but Lee Jong-Suk kept me from doing so. I thought I'd rather watch other actors' drama than his. I've watched W though, which I find interesting. Yeah, I liked the plot and story and acting. Going back, I thought it's unfair for the drama, for Suzy, and even for Jong-Suk himself because of a prejudice.

Thought I should live up to one of my values, giving someone the benefit of the doubt. So far I am not regretting my decision.
