Hungry!

I watched Hungry! because I wanted to watch food-related dramas, and because of Mukai Osamu. “Mukai is taking on the role of Eisuke, a former bassist of a rock band who gave up his music dreams to carry on the tradition of his family’s French restaurant.” Because of what happened to their band and to his mother, things have become sour. Actually, Eisuke has become sour.
The first episode showed a very unpleasant Eisuke. But I like how his character developed after the following episodes. There was progress. There was a story. However, I noticed something about, I guess the editing. There was a something bothering. My comment was actually posted in my Tumblr.

I’ve already seen Osamu in another food-related dramas (Osen and Bambino!) so seeing him in the kitchen and as a chef seemed not unusual. But it was (still) unusual seeing Katagiri Hairi because I’ve also seen her in Osen. Her characters in both dramas were the opposite of each other.
My top favourite scene was in the last episode of the series. I’ve been rooting for Eisuke and Chie (Takimoto Miori) so I wondered what would happen to them, but I liked how they ended the series. I definitely laughed at the scene below:
