Andalusia: Revenge of the Goddess

I decided to watch Andalusia: Revenge of the Goddess primarily because of Toda Erika. Of course, the plot was also a factor and when I found out that there were Barcelona scenes, I got excited. No Cule wouldn’t be. After reading the plot, I’ve been watching the characters with suspicion. I had some ideas but they were not concrete. I’d say, I failed to figure it out properly.

This film made me become more aware of Japanese films’ potential and with that thought, a “barrier” in my head was removed.
Well, I think the story wasn’t enough to give me a thrill but I think it was pretty decent. The cinematography had a European film feel. It was interesting. It was also nice that they talked about an issue that is of a global concern.
Going back to Toda Erika who played Adachi Kanae a diplomat in Barcelona, her role was minor but I’d say she made an impact. She was seen and felt. Though I saw Adachi different from Toda’s other characters, those that I’ve watched – Ariake Shizuna (Ryuusei no Kizuna) and Junko Aoto (Kagi no Kakatta Heya) – there was still something which I find common among the three.
