Beauty & the Briefcase


I came up to this while doing a random search about some stuff. It has a feel-good approach and result, which I needed to neutralize the deep thinking I had as a result of watching Lost in Translation.

Watching Beauty & the Briefcase reminded me of some changes that I’m going through this year, but minus the men. I mean, I’m still not into dating and I am genuinely glad for it. It
Lane Daniels (Duff) is an aspiring writer who got a break by pitching a story to Kate, editor of Cosmo magazine. Well, what she had in mind didn’t work but found something that made Kate reconsider. Lucky Daniels. Oh yeah, she’s one lucky lady to have a great best friend, whose name I can’t remember though she proposed to be a pseudo-character named Lucy.
What I like about this film, as well as the other Hilary Duff films, is that there’s a light side to it. It doesn’t get too mushy but I find it rather straight forward.
